Resumen

En la actualidad la preocupación por el desarrollo sostenible por las partes interesadas ha ido en crecimiento, las organizaciones han sido llamadas a asumir la responsabilidad de sus impactos en la sociedad y en el medio ambiente. Como resultado, las empresas han implementado prácticas sostenibles en la preocupación en sus operaciones comerciales que incluyen aspectos ambientales y sociales (D’amato et al., 2009). Las empresas también han cambiado la forma en que interactuar con las partesinteresadas, dedicando mayores esfuerzos a definir reglas y prácticas para mejorar equilibrar sus diferentes intereses. El nuevo paradigma empresarial implica la expansión de las empresas a través de compromisos más allá de sus obligaciones financieras de entregar bienes públicos y privados. Los cambios en el modelo de negocio también han implicado un cambio importante en la medición del rendimiento empresarial.
