Resumen

El efecto de los recursos organizacionales en la innovación tecnológica ha sido bastamente estudiado. Sin embargo, el efecto de éstos en la innovación administrativa es tema que aún requiere mayor investigación científica.  A través de considerar como eje teórico a la teoría de  recursos y capacidades, se formula la hipótesis de que el desarrollo de métodos de conocimiento y de capacitación, el desarrollo de métodos de autonomía para los empleados, la evaluación del desempeño y la descentralización de funciones influyen positivamente en la innovación administrativa (R2 = 0.88). A través de un estudio transeccional y con una muestra de hospitales mexicanos y colombianos mediante la percepción de sus mandos medios y directivos, se encontró soporte a las hipótesis planteadas.
