Prácticas de calidad de la fuerza laboral y rentabilidad: el caso europeo

Resumen

En este documento, se demuestra si promover la felicidad de la fuerza laboral (a través de prácticas laborales de alto rendimiento o PLAR) y el bienestar en las empresas públicas europeas afecta su rentabilidad (ROE). Con una regresión de datos de panel anual de empresas del este, oeste, norte y sur de Europa de 2011 a 2022, se encontró que no existe una conexión significativa entre el puntaje de la fuerza laboral y el ROE. Si bien se puede pensar que esto tiene implicaciones negativas a favor de promover las PLAR en la empresa al no incidir significativa y positivamente en la rentabilidad, los resultados apoyan a teorías como la de las partes relacionadas al presentar que tampoco existe evidencia de que promover las PLAR afecte la rentabilidad. Por tanto, las PLAR se pueden promover en este tipo de empresas sin afectar la generación de valor.
